The goal of TLC is to come alongside home school families in Chiang Mai, offering an alternative place to study with academic and enrichment classes in a social environment.

TLC is a Learning Center where several homeschool students gather, four days a week, to study with their peers.  Unlike a school, each student has their own curriculum that has been selected by their teacher, whom is either their Mother and/or Father.  Parents are involved at TLC but not required to stay with their student(s).

Our supervisors take their jobs very seriously making sure each student does their best to achieve the goals set by parents for their student.  This responsibility includes overseeing each student’s daily assignments while encouraging them to strive for excellence in their work; advising parents about possible educational gaps, creating educational goals, choosing curriculum and record keeping.

The onus, however, remains on the parents of the student to choose curriculum that will enable your child to achieve the educational goals that you have for them.  It is the parent’s responsibility to supply weekly assignments and to continue monitoring and developing your child or young adult’s progress.

The student’s academic success at TLC is dependent on the diligence of the student in asking questions when they don’t understand a concept as well as completing their assignments. Parents contribute to their success by regularly monitoring their students work, staying involved and communicating with the supervisor.
